Built in a garden
I'm a person who has a hobby of having hobbies. A little while ago I started a small veggie garden with my youngest daughter — purely for the joy of growing our own produce and helping her understand where food comes from and why sustainability matters.
We have a small block of land and we're doing our best to maximise it — fruit trees, vegetables, chickens, the works. After revisiting my seed collection one afternoon, I quickly realised I had no idea what was planted where, what had been fertilised, the soil conditions, what grew well next to what.
I looked for apps. There were a few, but none that did quite what I needed. So I built my own. Plotera was born from that afternoon in the garden with my daughter — and I hope it helps your garden too.

Interactive Tips
Step-by-step tooltips that highlight features as you use them.
🔍
🏡 Home Dashboard
Your central hub. See garden summaries, active alerts, weather, and quick links to all features.
Tap the Gardens tab to see all your gardens and open one.
The Nursery tab shows your seedling trays at a glance.
Tap the ☰ menu (top left) to access every section of the app.
Open Weather from the main menu for a 7-day forecast, garden weather alerts, and planting or harvest suggestions based on the active garden.
Weather data is pulled from your saved weather location — update it from Settings whenever your garden location changes.
New users can follow the welcome wizard for location, units, tips, and a quick overview of gardens, nursery trays, plant guides, and reminders.
🌿 Creating Your First Garden
Create a garden manually, or use the Auto Garden Builder when you want Plotera to suggest a starter layout.
Tap + New Garden from the menu or the Home Dashboard.
Give your garden a name (e.g. "Back Yard Beds") and set the grid size — columns × rows.
Choose your climate zone so the planting calendar gives accurate advice.
Tap Use Auto Garden Builder Instead if you want recommended plants, paths, and zone sizing generated for you.
You can create multiple gardens — great for separating veggie beds, pots, and greenhouse.
Auto Garden Builder
The Auto Garden Builder creates a suggested garden layout from your size, climate profile, growing preference, soil type, and path choice.
Start it from the menu or from the Not sure what to plant? prompt during garden setup.
When you launch it from an existing garden, Plotera uses that garden’s saved weather/climate profile automatically unless you enter a different location.
Choose a preset size or enter dimensions in metres. Plotera converts that to a grid using roughly 30cm per cell.
If you launch it outside a garden, enter a postcode, city, or region so Plotera can estimate climate and seasonal planting windows.
The preview shows path cells, recommended plant zones, companion-aware choices, and expected harvest timing before you create the garden.
🌍 Soil Profiles & Soil Wizard
Soil Profiles save reusable soil assessments that can be assigned to one or more gardens.
Open Soil Profiles from Garden Tools, then use the guided Soil Wizard to record texture, drainage, water retention, compaction, organic matter, earthworm activity, and optional pH.
Aquarium or water pH strips are supported as an estimated method only: remove mulch, sample soil from 10-15cm deep, mix with distilled or rainwater, settle, then test the clearer water.
Assign the same profile to multiple gardens from Soil Profiles or Garden Settings. Gardens store only the profile link, so editing the profile improves advice everywhere it is used.
Watering Advisor, Fertilising Advisor, and Auto Garden Builder now use the assigned profile to adjust advice for fast-draining soil, waterlogging risk, compaction, organic matter, and pH confidence.
👤 Account & Settings
Manage your account, garden, notification, weather, units, appearance, and preference controls from Settings.
Set your location for accurate local weather and frost alerts.
Switch between Metric (cm/mm) and Imperial (feet/inches) at any time.
Toggle Dark Mode or enable/disable interactive tips in the Appearance section.
Use Restart Welcome Wizard if you want to replay the first-run setup and guided tips without deleting any garden data.
🌿 Garden Grid
A visual map of your garden. Each cell represents a zone — an area where you plant, water, and track things.
Drag the 2D garden to pan around larger beds. On mobile, pinch to zoom; on desktop, use the zoom buttons or modifier-wheel zoom.
Open Grid Toolbar to edit the physical grid. Use Single to tap individual cells, or Lasso to drag-select a group.
Pathing and edging tools live in the Grid Toolbar too: Path, Gravel, Wood Chips, Lawn, Paving, Raised Bed, Empty Bed, and Erase Brush.
After selecting cells or zones, use Assign Zone, Erase Selected, Duplicate Zone, or Undo from the Grid Toolbar.
Coloured zones with plants show what's growing and when it needs attention.
Use Garden Tools for broader actions like Zones, Water Plan, Feed Plan, Garden Settings, View Garden History, and Print Garden Layout.
🌾 3D Growth Simulator
The 3D garden view can show a virtual growth stage for each planted zone based on your planting date and expected harvest time.
Open a garden, switch from 2D to 3D, then use the Growth Simulator toggle in the top-right of the 3D view.
Plotera estimates progress from Date planted and Days to harvest in each zone.
Stages move through Just sown, Seedling, Young plant, Growing, Flowering, Fruiting, Harvest ready, and Finished crop.
The models are low-poly previews grouped by plant type, so tall crops, climbers, roots, leafy greens, and sprawling crops appear differently.
📅 Planting Calendar
A month-by-month guide showing what to sow, transplant, and harvest — tailored to your climate zone.
Browse months using the arrow buttons. The current month is highlighted automatically.
Tap any date to review planting, harvest, watering, fertiliser, reminders, and weather for that day. From there you can log watering or fertiliser, set a watering schedule, or add a timed reminder.
The date dots show garden activity: green = planting, yellow = harvest, blue = watering, amber = fertiliser, orange = reminders, and pale blue = frost.
Tap any plant name to jump straight to its full encyclopedia entry.
The calendar respects the climate zone set when you created the garden.
💧 Watering Schedule
Track watering for the whole garden or individual zones and get notified when care is due.
Set a watering interval for the whole garden or a zone (e.g. every 2 days). Plotera tracks the last time you watered.
Overdue zones are flagged with a ! badge in the drawer menu.
Tap Log Watering on a zone to record it done and reset the timer.
Watering history is stored so you can see patterns over time.
💧 Watering Advisor
The Watering Advisor gives plant-specific watering guidance based on the crop, soil or growing medium, current weather, and watering method.
Open it from the menu, Garden Tools, or a zone's quick panel using Water Tips.
Choose a planted zone or a common vegetable type, then answer soil, weather, and watering-method questions.
Results include frequency, watering depth, best time of day, key tips, and signs of over-watering or under-watering.
Use this for advice; use Watering Schedule when you want recurring due reminders and log history.
🌿 Fertiliser Tracker
Log fertiliser applications and set when Plotera should remind you about the next feed.
Choose the product, date, notes, and a next-feed interval (for example, 14 days) when logging an application.
A yellow ! badge in the menu means the next recorded feed is due.
You can also open the Fertilising Advisor from a zone for plant-specific feeding guidance.
🌿 Fertilising Advisor
The Fertilising Advisor builds a feeding plan from the plant, growth stage, growing setup, last feed date, and any nutrient symptoms.
Open it from the menu, Garden Tools, or directly from a zone. If opened from a planted zone, the plant can be pre-selected.
Choose the growth stage: seedling, vegetative, flowering, fruiting, or dormant/end of season.
Results include nutrient focus, recommended product, frequency, application method, cautions, and plant-family notes.
Suggested feed jobs can be added to your To Do list, and recent advice is saved in the advisor history.
🥕 Harvest Wizard
The Harvest Wizard helps decide whether tricky fruiting crops are ready to pick by checking several ripeness signs together.
Open it from Garden Tools or the main menu. It now covers the main crops where readiness has useful physical signs: melons, squash, fruiting vegetables, roots, tubers, bulb alliums, pods, corn, brassica heads, citrus, tree fruit, berries, and tropical fruit.
The wizard asks crop-specific questions such as tendril dryness, ground spot colour, melon slip, aroma, rind hardness, stem dryness, and fruit firmness.
Results show Ready, Almost Ready, Wait Longer, or Use Soon, plus a confidence level based on how many signs were checked.
If the crop needs more time, you can add a harvest-check reminder to your To Do / Reminders list.
To Do / Reminders
Keep track of garden tasks with priorities, due dates, reminder times, and repeats.
Tap + Add Task to create a new to-do with a name, priority, optional due date, and reminder time.
Use Repeat for daily, weekly, or custom intervals. Completing a repeating task creates its next occurrence.
Tasks are sorted by priority: High → Medium → Low.
Overdue tasks show a red date. The badge count in the drawer shows open tasks.
Tap the tick circle to mark a task complete — it moves to the done section.
📓 Garden Journal
Use Garden Journal as a searchable notebook for dated garden progress, experiments, pests, weather notes, harvest lessons and ideas.
Each entry can be general, linked to a garden, or linked to a specific zone so notes stay useful even months later.
Attach photos from your camera, device upload, or existing Plotera Gallery images. New uploads are also saved in Photo Gallery with a Journal tag.
Use tags such as harvest, pests, soil, weather, nursery or experiment, then search or filter by month and garden.
Good journal entries answer: what changed, what worked, what failed, and what you want to try next season.
📍 Zones
Zones are named areas in your garden (beds, pots, rows). Each zone tracks its own plants, watering, and history.
Create zones from the garden grid by tapping empty cells.
The Zones page shows a full summary of all zones and their current status.
Log harvests, notes, and events directly from a zone's detail panel.
🗂 Seed Inventory
Keep a record of all the seeds you own — stock levels, expiry dates, and source details.
Add seeds manually or use the 📷 Packet Scanner to read details from a seed packet using your camera.
Set expiry dates — you'll get a notification when seeds are approaching their use-by date.
Track stock quantity so you know when to reorder before planting season.
📦 Garden Inventory
Keep track of fertilisers, soil, amendments, pest treatments, tools and other supplies you already own.
Start with built-in categories, or add your own categories for the way you organise your shed.
Attach front and back photos so labels, ingredients and application instructions are easy to find later.
Use amount, unit and stock status to see what is available, running low or needs replacing.
🥕 Yield Log
Record every harvest — what you picked, how much, and from which zone.
Log a yield from any zone's detail panel or from the Yield Log page directly.
Track weight or quantity — great for seeing which plants perform best.
Use the log to compare which zones and crops are producing best over time.
💰 Cost Tracker
Log garden expenses to understand what your produce actually costs to grow.
Add expenses like soil, seeds, tools, and fertiliser with categories and amounts.
The total running cost is shown at the top so you can see cumulative spend.
📋 Zone History
See everything that's ever been grown in each zone — essential for planning crop rotation.
History records automatically when you change or clear what's planted in a zone.
Use this alongside companion planting info to plan next season's layout.
📚 Plant Encyclopedia
A library of 214 vegetables, herbs, fruits, flowers and starter fruit trees with detailed growing guides.
Search by name or filter by category (Tomatoes, Brassicas, Root Vegetables, etc.).
Each entry shows spacing, depth, sun requirements, frost tolerance, and companion plants.
The Planting Windows section shows the best months to sow for your climate zone.
Companions in green are good neighbours; companions in red should be kept apart.
🌱 Seedling Nursery
Track seedlings from sowing through to transplant with a visual tray grid and shared tray reminders.
Create a tray by tapping + New Tray. Set the number of rows and columns to match your physical tray.
Tap any cell to set the plant, status (Sown → Germinated → Ready → Transplanted), and notes.
Use Tray reminders to set a shared Water, Harden Off, Feed, or Plant into garden reminder for the whole tray. Choose a quick offset or an exact date and time.
When cells are Ready to Transplant, or a tray reminder becomes due, Plotera can alert you when notifications are enabled.
The Home Dashboard shows active trays at a glance with a progress summary.
📷 Photo Gallery
A photo diary for each garden — document progress, pest damage, and great harvests.
Tap + Add Photo to upload from your camera or photo library. The Gallery picker can add multiple photos at once.
Photos are compressed to 800px and share a 50MB storage limit across your gardens.
Add a caption to each photo to remember what it shows.
🔔 Notification Centre & Settings
Plotera can show in-app alerts and send server push or email reminders for due garden care and practical weather changes.
Open Notification Centre to hide an alert, snooze it for one day or one week, restore it later, or clear notifications that are still available in your device tray.
Open Settings, then Notification Settings, allow alerts, and tap Activate to register this phone or browser for server push while the app is closed.

Photo workflow — future plant photo sourcing now has a repeatable review and replacement process.
🎨 v3.5.76 — July 2026
Polished plant encyclopedia photos, icons and 3D growth visuals.
Complete photo coverage — every encyclopedia plant now has a local photo with Wikimedia Commons attribution metadata.
Visual profiles — every plant now carries icon and low-poly growth model metadata for future additions.
Better fallbacks — plants without hand-drawn SVGs now render Plotera-style generated crop icons instead of plain generic placeholders.
🍽️ v3.5.75 — July 2026
Expanded plant encyclopedia care data and garden-to-table ideas.
Cooking ideas — opened plant guides now include raw, cooked, preserve, edible-part and quick idea sections.
Care profiles — plants now carry structured water, fertilizer and auto garden builder profiles.
Smarter tools — watering, fertilising, companion checks and Auto Garden Builder now prefer enriched plant encyclopedia data.
💬 v3.5.74 — July 2026
Added easier ways to request features and new plants.
Suggest Feature — send a feature idea straight from the hamburger menu.
Plant requests — the Plant Encyclopedia has a plus button for requesting new plant additions.
Admin email — submitted ideas and plant requests are sent as branded admin emails.
🎮 v3.5.73 — July 2026
Polished custom icons and low-poly 3D plant silhouettes.
Custom icons — citrus, vines, berries, rosella, kang kong, pineapple, dragon fruit and papaya now have more distinct 2D artwork.
3D profiles — the growth simulator now uses different silhouettes for trees, vines, berry canes, runner crops, tropical fruit and upright flowers.
Plant guide photos — encyclopedia list views use icons for quick scanning; photos show after opening a plant guide.
Mobile friendly — the new models stay procedural and lightweight for Android garden viewing.
📷 v3.5.72 — July 2026
Added local photos to the plant encyclopedia.
Plant photos — 190 plant guides now include locally cached Wikimedia Commons photos with attribution.
Android friendly — photos are included in the deployed app and cached after first view in the installed web app.
Clean fallback — uncertain image matches keep using Plotera icons until we manually curate replacements.
📚 v3.5.71 — July 2026
Completed the remaining planned encyclopedia expansion.
214 plants — added the remaining planned batch across vegetables, herbs, flowers, citrus and starter orchard fruits.
Global mix — cool-climate crops, Asian greens, Mediterranean herbs, beneficial flowers and tropical fruit are better represented.
Search-ready — the sitemap now includes every public plant page.
📚 v3.5.70 — July 2026
Expanded the plant encyclopedia for more global growing styles.
153 plants — added more vegetables, Asian greens, herbs, flowers, citrus and starter fruit crops.
New gaps filled — Jalapeño, Kang Kong, Rosella, citrus, cool-climate fruits and beneficial flowers were included.
Garden-ready — the new plants became available from the garden plant picker for assigning to beds and zones.
🔎 v3.5.69 — July 2026
Plant page SEO, sitemap route fixes, and request parser security.
Plant pages — public plant detail URLs now return real pages for sitemap indexing, while missing plants return a proper 404.
Sitemap links — Privacy and Terms now resolve cleanly at their sitemap URLs.
Security — request body parsing now uses the patched body-parser release with startup validation for body-size limits.
🌱 v3.5.68 — July 2026
First-garden onboarding tip refresh.
First garden — the starter tip now matches the current Grid Toolbar, Lasso, Single, and + Zone workflow.
Readability — dark-on-dark text in the first-garden tip modal was replaced with the current modal text colours.
🔔 v3.5.67 — July 2026
Signup alert toggle, Android gallery filters, splash polish, and Garden Tools labels.
Nursery alerts — the Statistics tab now has an on/off switch for admin emails when new accounts sign up.
Photo filters — Gallery filter buttons now keep the correct active state on Android Chrome and can tap back to All.
Garden Tools — duplicate Grid Toolbar action was removed; Grid is now Garden Settings, and PDF is now Print Garden Layout.
📷 v3.5.66 — July 2026
Reliable Android gallery photo sync.
Photo uploads — newly selected gallery photos are saved to the device first, then synced to the server as a small photo-only update.
Android recovery — if the installed app is suspended while photos are syncing, Plotera retries the pending photo batch when the app returns.
Large gardens — photo-heavy garden saves avoid mobile browser request limits that can drop oversized background saves.
🔍 v3.5.65 — July 2026
Garden pan buffer, simplified selectors, and clearer history controls.
Pan buffer — the 2D garden now has extra workspace around the bed so edge rows can be dragged away from the frame edge while zoomed in.
Simplified selectors — the old default Select tool was removed; use Single for tap selection or Lasso for drag selection.
Garden History — the bottom tool row now uses View Garden History; returning to the live garden happens from the history banner or modal.
🧩 v3.5.62 — July 2026
Auto Garden Builder grouped crop blocks.
Cleaner layouts — generated gardens now keep the same vegetable together where possible instead of placing small duplicate patches elsewhere in the bed.
Real garden shapes — crop placement now prefers rows, columns, and square-ish blocks, with tiny leftover cells absorbed into neighbouring zones.
💾 v3.5.61 — June 2026
Immediate save coverage for garden inputs.
Care logs — fertiliser, watering, water schedules, reminders, harvests, costs, nursery edits, seed profiles, and gallery uploads now trigger immediate server sync instead of waiting for a delayed full save.
Mobile safety — saved confirmations now appear after the immediate sync path has run, reducing data loss when Android backs out, suspends, or closes the installed app.
💾 v3.5.60 — June 2026
Immediate zone save reliability.
Zone saves — saving a zone now sends a focused server update immediately, so plant assignments survive Android back/app suspend instead of waiting for the full garden debounce.
Data protection — the server updates only the touched zone and its grid cells, preserving the rest of the user garden record.
🧭 v3.5.59 — June 2026
Auto Garden Builder path and crop-block refinement.
Paths — path options now clearly separate a single path across the bed, a single path along the bed, and a true cross path.
Crop blocks — generated plans now keep each crop together as one practical zone wherever possible, instead of scattering duplicate zones around the grid.
🧭 v3.5.58 — June 2026
Auto Garden Builder fill and crop-balance upgrade.
Full layouts — generated gardens now fill every usable non-path cell instead of stopping after a handful of suggested crops.
Crop balance — the builder caps quick crops and leafy repeats, accounts for rough spacing, avoids bad companions, and keeps adding sensible zones until the bed is filled.
🔔 v3.5.57 — June 2026
Real reminder delivery polish.
Server delivery — Plotera now checks due reminders every minute from the server, so Android/PWA push and email reminders do not depend on opening the app.
Email reminders — email notifications are tracked per reminder, so a new due reminder can still email later even if another reminder already sent today.
Push settings — notification category toggles are saved to the account, allowing the server to honour them while the app is closed.
🧭 v3.5.56 — June 2026
Menu consistency and scheduled email cleanup.
Garden Tools — New Garden and Auto Garden Builder now appear in the Garden Tools menu in both app navigation drawers.
Email reminders — opening the app no longer triggers automatic digest emails; scheduled reminder email checks run from the server.
🔔 v3.5.55 — June 2026
Reminder, calendar, notification centre, and push reliability overhaul.
Safer reminders — Plotera now protects To Do and nursery reminders during Android app switching, overlapping saves, email digest checks, and server push scans.
Consistent alerts — To Do / Reminders, calendar, notification centre, email digests, and server push now use the same reminder timing fields.
🌿 v3.5.54 — June 2026
Branded Android launch splash and restore repair.
Cleaner launch — Plotera now waits for the full app shell before restoring your last screen, while a branded splash stays visible during startup.
📊 v3.5.52 — June 2026
Added optional weekly Nursery admin usage digest emails.
Admin digest — Nursery can now send a Friday 8pm summary of users, activity, use time, garden feature usage, and top saved locations.
📱 v3.5.51 — June 2026
Android installed-app resume, pull-refresh, session length, and mobile sign-in polish.
Resume fix — the installed app restores the last stable dashboard or garden page instead of a partial back-button screen.
No pull refresh — top-edge Android pull-to-refresh is blocked inside Plotera so editing forms and garden layouts are harder to interrupt.
Longer sign-in — sessions now last longer by default and temporary server-check failures no longer sign you out.
Mobile verification — the human verification widget scales to fit smaller sign-in panels.
📱 v3.5.50 — June 2026
Repaired Android startup and Notification Centre navigation.
Reliable launch — the app now opens on the dashboard after a cold start rather than restoring a temporary screen. Notification Centre is directly under Home Dashboard in both menus.
🔔 v3.5.49 — June 2026
Notification Centre is now in the main app menu.
Cleaner navigation — Notification Centre now sits directly below Home Dashboard, and its page no longer shows the dashboard footer above your alerts.
🛡 v3.5.48 — June 2026
Safer data saves and new signup alerts.
Data protection — account-scoped local recovery copies and server-side collection merging reduce the chance of a suspended device overwriting to-dos or nursery data.
🔔 v3.5.47 — June 2026
Notification Centre and smoother Android app restore.
Alert management — hide, snooze, restore, and clear supported device-tray alerts from one place. Updated Android routing also avoids showing the website during app refresh.
📱 v3.5.46 — June 2026
More reliable Android app restore.
Installed app — Plotera now keeps standalone Android launches and offline recovery on the application route rather than showing the public website.
📚 v3.5.45 — June 2026
Help guide review.
Current guidance — refreshed Calendar, Watering, Fertiliser, Nursery, Photo Gallery, and Notifications help to match the latest features.
📅 v3.5.44 — June 2026
Interactive calendar day planning.
Day details — tap a date to see its garden activity and open linked watering, fertiliser, and reminder actions with that date preselected.
📷 v3.5.43 — June 2026
Batch photo uploads.
Gallery uploads — select multiple images from your phone at once. Plotera compresses and saves the whole batch using the same type and optional caption.
🌱 v3.5.42 — June 2026
Tray-wide nursery reminders.
Shared tray actions — set Water, Harden Off, Feed, or Plant into garden reminders for every seedling in a tray, with a date and time.
🔔 v3.5.41 — June 2026
Clearer Android notification branding.
Android badge — Plotera notifications now include a dedicated high-contrast badge for Android notification surfaces and device mirrors.
🔔 v3.5.40 — June 2026
True server push notifications.
Device registration — Notification Settings can now register a phone or browser for secure VAPID Web Push.
Closed-app delivery — subscribed devices can receive due reminders while Plotera is closed.
🛠 v3.5.39 — June 2026
Garden selection, reminder delivery, and Android reliability fixes.
Selection workflow — select existing zones or empty cells, then assign or erase the selection.
Timed reminders — tasks can now store a reminder time and repeating tasks retain that time.
Android saving — Plotera now keeps the newest local change if Android suspends the app before a server save completes.
📘 v3.5.38 — May 2026
Help guide updates for garden setup and advisor tools.
Advisors — added Help entries for the Watering Advisor and Fertilising Advisor.
Garden Builder — updated Help to explain manual garden setup and the Auto Garden Builder flow.
🌾 v3.5.37 — May 2026
3D Growth Simulator controls and help guide.
Growth Simulator toggle — the 3D garden now has a top-right control for virtual grow mode.
Help guide — added a new section explaining how the simulator uses planted date and days to harvest.
🌿 v3.5.36 — May 2026
Clearer 3D growth-stage labels.
Growth stages — the 3D garden now uses clearer labels from Just sown through Harvest ready and Finished crop.
3D summary — the garden viewport groups active zones by short stage names like Seedling, Growing, Flowering, Fruiting and Harvest.
🌱 v3.5.35 — May 2026
Email notification digests and notification audit.
Email reminders — users can turn on email notifications for due garden reminders.
Notification check — email digests and server push now run from Plotera's reminder service once enabled on a device.
🔐 v3.5.28 — May 2026
Forgot password and secure reset code flow.
Forgot password — users can request a reset code from the sign-in screen.
Safer reset — Plotera sends a short-lived 6-digit code instead of emailing temporary passwords.
✉️ v3.5.27 — May 2026
Branded signup and welcome emails.
Verification email — redesigned with Plotera colours, brand styling and a clear 6-digit code block.
Welcome email — redesigned to match the account verification experience after the user confirms their code.
✉️ v3.5.26 — May 2026
Extra SMTP diagnostics for verification email setup.

Port checks — admin can test both 465 SSL and 587 STARTTLS from the Nursery System tab.
🛠️ v3.5.25 — May 2026
Admin release notes, signup email diagnostics and safer account creation.
Nursery release notes — admin now has a running version log of Plotera changes.
Email diagnostics — admin can check SMTP status and send a test email without creating a test account.
Signup protection — failed verification emails now roll back cleanly instead of leaving a half-created account.
Version fix — app, server package and service worker cache versions now align.

Public website redesign, pricing tiers, bug fixes and Google Analytics.
New public website — completely redesigned homepage, features, pricing, about, FAQ, contact and demo pages.

Ambassador programme — digital ambassador programme launched for content creators and gardening influencers.
Demo page — interactive planting calendar and expanded plant encyclopedia now publicly browsable at plotera.app/demo.
