About Plotera
Plotera is a garden planning and tracking web application available at plotera.app. It is operated by an individual developer. By accessing or using Plotera, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the service.
Your Account
To use Plotera you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password secure and confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us promptly at admin@plotera.app if you suspect unauthorised access
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or are used for any unlawful purpose.
Use of the Service
Plotera is provided for personal, non-commercial garden planning use. You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the service
- Resell or sublicense access to the service
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create in Plotera — your gardens, notes, photos, logs, and data. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We will never claim ownership of your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring any photos or content you upload do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
Beta Service
Plotera is currently offered as a free beta service. During the beta period:
- The service is provided free of charge
- Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice
- We may experience downtime or data issues as we improve the platform
- Beta users will be recognised when we transition to a paid service and offered preferential pricing
We will provide reasonable notice before introducing any paid tier, and will give beta users advance warning and a transition period.
Availability & Uptime
We aim to keep Plotera running reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, hosting issues, or events outside our control.
We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service unavailability.
Garden & Planting Advice
The planting recommendations, fertilising advice, watering guidelines, companion planting information, and other horticultural content provided by Plotera are offered as general guidance only. They are based on publicly available horticultural knowledge and are not a substitute for professional agricultural or horticultural advice.
Results will vary depending on your specific climate, soil conditions, microclimate, pest pressure, and many other factors. We make no guarantee that following Plotera's recommendations will result in any particular growing outcome.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Plotera is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Plotera and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of crops, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or AUD $0 during the free beta period).
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). This permanently deletes all your data.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. In serious cases we may do so without prior notice. Where reasonably possible, we'll give you advance notice and an opportunity to export your data.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Plotera after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
The current version is always available at plotera.app/terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
