Plotera is a free garden planner app for home gardeners. You map your real garden, including beds, raised beds and paths, plant it, and Plotera tells you what to sow, water, feed and harvest, and when, based on your location and climate. It includes a 3D garden view, a planting calendar, watering and fertiliser reminders, a 249-plant encyclopedia, seed inventory and seedling tracking. It works on Android, iPhone and in any web browser.

Yes — Plotera offers a free account for garden planning and tracking. No credit card is required to start.

Yes. Get Plotera on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android. You can also use Plotera in any web browser on your computer or tablet.

Your data is stored securely and is never sold or used for advertising. It is only handled by the services that run Plotera, such as hosting, email and backups. You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings → My Account, and a guide is available at plotera.app/account-deletion.

Yes. Every plant in the encyclopedia lists good companions and plants to avoid. In the garden, companion suggestions appear inline when you assign plants to zones.

Plotera uses your garden location to determine climate zone, then shows sowing, transplanting and harvest windows for each plant in your garden. Jobs appear in the calendar and to-do list automatically.

A wizard that takes your garden dimensions, postcode and growing preferences (more tomatoes? leafy greens? quick growers?) and suggests a grid layout with companion-compatible plants for your current season.

Yes. Set watering intervals per zone and the app tracks what is overdue. The Fertilising Advisor asks about your plant, growth stage and soil, then recommends a schedule and pushes tasks to your to-do list.

A symptom-based diagnostic tool. Describe what you are seeing — yellowing leaves, slow growth, pests — and the wizard returns a likely diagnosis with a recommended action plan.

Yes. The Seed Inventory tracks packets, varieties, stock levels and expiry dates, with photos of the front and back of each packet. The Seedling Nursery follows your trays from sowing through germination to transplant-ready.

Partly. The app opens without a connection, and your gardens sync as soon as you are back online.

Yes. Tap "Explore without an account" on the sign-in screen to open a fully planted demo garden and try the encyclopedia, guides, planting calendar, weather and 3D view. No email needed. Create a free account when you want to plan your own garden.

Yes. Planting windows, weather and frost alerts follow your garden's location, in the northern or southern hemisphere, so Plotera works for gardens in the UK, Europe, North America, New Zealand and beyond.

Yes. Sign in on your phone, tablet or computer and your gardens, reminders and records stay in sync.

Yes. Plants that are toxic to people or pets are clearly marked in the plant encyclopedia, so you can check before you plant.
