Coming soon: indoor plants and houseplants in Plotera

30 September 2026 · 1 min read · The Plotera team
Plotera's Plant Encyclopedia showing plant categories and a searchable plant list

Plotera started with the vegetable garden, but plenty of you grow just as much inside: a monstera in the lounge, herbs on the windowsill, a fiddle leaf fig that refuses to cooperate. So we are bringing indoor plants to Plotera.

More than 300 indoor plants

We are adding more than 300 indoor plants and houseplants to the Plant Encyclopedia, each with its own care guide. For every plant we are gathering:

  • Light: how bright it likes it, and which window suits it best.
  • Watering and feeding: how often, how much, and how that changes through the year.
  • Temperature and humidity, including which plants want a bathroom and which hate draughts.
  • Pots and repotting: pot size, drainage and when to move up a size.
  • Safety: whether a plant is toxic to people, cats or dogs. Where the evidence is unclear, we say so instead of guessing.
  • Common problems and how to fix them.

What is next

The care data is being checked plant by plant now. Once it is ready, indoor plants will appear as their own category in the encyclopedia, with watering reminders that work just like the ones for your garden.
